The Clash, alongside the Sex Pistols were one of the most influential Punk bands. Mixing Punk with a variety of genres such as reggae they had their own individual sound. Again, controversial, the band extolled political beliefs in many of their songs. Having gone through various band member changes, they disbanded in 1985.
