How We Package and Post Your Vintage Music Posters

Your Poster's Journey from Us to You

Vintage music posters are irreplaceable. A 1980s Nick Cave gig poster or an original Stiff Little Fingers promo can't be reprinted — so when you order from Music Poster Shop, we treat every poster as the one-of-a-kind piece it is. Here's exactly how we package and post your order.  We listen to our customers when they have a suggestion in the way we package our music posters for mailing.

Step 1: Condition Check Before Packing

Before we pack anything, we do a final condition check against the listing. We confirm the grade, note any specific flaws, and make sure the poster matches exactly what you ordered. If anything has changed since listing — even minor — we'll contact you before shipping.

Step 2: How We Package Posters

The packaging method depends on the size and condition of the poster:

  • Flat packing (preferred for 12" x !2" mini posters): The poster is placed between two sheets of acid-free tissue paper, then sandwiched between rigid cardboard stiffeners then placed in a heavy duty vinyl record mailer and sealed.
  • Rolled packing (for larger posters in good condition): The poster is rolled using two sheets of acid free tissue paper or one sheet of craft paper and one sheet of acid free tissue paper and rolled loosely then wrapped in cellophane to protect from damp and placed into a heavy duty cardboard tube with a thick inner wall of between 3mm to 5mm with end caps secured we also add a square piece of bubble wrap at each end before placing end caps for added security. We always roll with the image facing inward to protect the print surface.  Should you purchase more than one poster we will place a sheet of acid free tissue paper between each poster and roll together and place in a wider tube..

We never fold posters for posting. Ever. On the rare occasion we may have one or two posters that are already folded as pre-advised in listing so these would be posted as pre folded.

Step 3: Labelling and Dispatch

Once packed, your order is labelled and dispatched. We ship to Ireland, the UK, the EU, and internationally. Delivery times vary by destination:

  • Ireland: 2–4 working days
  • UK & EU: 4–7 working days
  • International: 7–14 working days

You'll receive a confirmation email when your order ships. and as tracking is available for your shipping method, we'll include the tracking reference.

What If My Poster Arrives Damaged?

It's rare, but postal damage can happen. If your poster arrives damaged, please photograph the outer packaging and the poster itself before doing anything else, then contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We'll work with you to find the best resolution — whether that's a partial refund, return, or replacement where possible.

A Note on International Orders

For some EU, UK and international orders, customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country. These are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in our shipping charges. If you're unsure about import rules for your country, feel free to get in touch before ordering.
